Touch is the most powerful of human sensual perception. The impact of the right touch at the right time can be mind blowing. Let me paint a picture. Imagine you and your lover in an intimate setting and they lean over to kiss you, but just before they do, they glide their finger along your jaw line and glide their fingers across your lips just before they lean in with a sensual, yet intense kiss. A kiss like that has more of an impact as opposed to them just leaning in and kissing you. That extra touch makes all the difference. Another example is when your significant other places their hand at the small of your back. The small of the back is truly an underestimated erogenous zone. That particular touch is a mutual exchange of tenderness and submission. Even in a society where optical perception is so easily attained with half naked men and women on television screens or even locally in a club scene, that has nothing on the reality of touch. We all want something we can feel. Tangible eroticism at it's best. Never underestimate the power of touch.
I agree. I wrote a series of poems on touch. Touch is sensuous, touch can be lustful, loving, devilish. Like you stated, a kiss, is a simple touch. The softer the touch, the sweeter the kiss. The deeper the touch, the more passionate the kiss. Making love is nothing more then a blend of different touches... I would love to see you write a precise poem on touch...
